There are no signs of a slowdown in Charlotte NC Real Estate market

Tuesday, January 8th, 2008

All I have to do is just look around me, there are signs of new homes being built everywhere. This real estate market is hot and ready to get hotter, you better hurry before the prices start going up too much! I can see the changes already….. With the recent Forbes article that Charlotte North Carolina Real Estate is the 3d lowest price in the nation, how can our prices stay down? And do you know who is ahead of us, Just Detroit and Atlanta have a lower price per square foot. What a deal Charlotte Real Estate is.

I live in Mint Hill NC and let me tell you new home subdivisions are being built here like crazy. There are a couple of new developments where the homes are above the $300K range with several hundred new homes sites. One called theSummerwood.com is giant. All of the homes have larger lots and there will be many manyof them. Both Shea and Pulte are the builder there. Once you drive thru some of the areas in Mint Hill, North Carolina you will see how much is going on here. It’s wild all the northerners that are moving here, only 80,000 new residents expected this year alone. Wow!

There is quite a bit of anticipation of the ground beaking for the Bridges of Lawyers, sooner or later it will happen I will get off I485 at the Lawyers Road Exit and head for Mint Hill and I’ll see the loaders and moving equipment out there working. Everyone is so excited and ready for that day. Must be pretty soon!! and it will make quite a change on our area.

See ya later from the Charlotte North Carolina Real Estate source!

New Homes coming to Stanley County

Saturday, October 20th, 2007

It’s not really that hard to believe that over 2500 new homes are planned for the Locust area the next 5 years. With Albemarle Road now 4 laned and traveled at 65 to 70 mph and only one stop light it makes Locust and Stanley county a short trip from Charlotte. Several times the past couple of years I’ve had clients want to look in Stanley county, but at what, so they ended up in Cabarrus county and Concord or Harrisburg or Kannapolis near I85. Now this is all about to change and it’s about time. The Villages of Redbridge is pushing dirt around with plans to build over 1100 homes which will double the size of Locust in one quick swoosh!! Along with Craft Homes and Tyson Properties of Monroe you can add another 400 or so homes, there there are 3 or 4 others planning to build another 1500 or so homes to fill the ever growing need to live in the country. One developer is planning a large Equistrian Community called of all things Churchill Downs ( I wonder where he got that name from?) AT this point in time schools are a big issue in Charlotte Mecklenburg and many will be thrilled at the quality of education and discipline they will find in Stanley county schools. Just wait until the Walmart opens just down the road, Locust will become more like Matthews then Locust. Is that good or bad, just depends on where you are coming from, if you live in Locust and don’t own a few 100 acres you are totally against this development, but however if you are moving from out of town and want another great little friendly city to live then Locust is another great destination. Every body can’t live in Ballantyne or on Lake Norman, now can they?

In addition Stanly Regional Medical Center plans to build a large medical campus to serve the growth in the area. This is one of the things many newcomers are concerned about is how close is the hospital. Especially the retirees a hospital and a doctor is so important. Of course you have a new 50 bed Presbyterian Hospital being built at the Albemarle Road and I485 just 13 miles down the road. I live in Mint Hill where the Bridges of Lawyers outdoor mall is being built with over 1.5 million square feet of shopping and stores just about 15 miles from Locust and Stanley county. So there will be lots of shopping and doctors available for all. Just make sure you wave when we meet on Matthews- Mint Hill RD.
See ya
